Institutionalised Racism?

Weathering:
This site reflects a constant question as to whether religious bias, racism, and ageism exists within our police forces?
Are we ever going to see a time that Police Officers treat African, Caribbean, and Asian people with fairness?
Every day I read about some police officer treating victims with total disrespect, and what they don't realise is that they are destroying peoples lives.
There is a word called, 'Weathering', it defines the amount of disrespect, a person receives within their lifetime, and how it builds up and eventually turns into mental stress and pain.

Every person in the world has rights, and those rights for many are totally abused, and it needs to stop.
There should be limits placed upon police officers and what rights of power that they can use.
A simple idea would be to have a set amount of time to speak to someone and establish why they've been stopped, and what this involves.
Actually establishing a friendly rapport with people goes a very long way towards friendly co-operation, and reduces the stress placed upon that person.

Top Athletes:
When one of our top athletes accuses the police of institutionalised racism, then it has to be considered very seriously.
Linford Christie, is the legendary sprinter, and a man that deserves great respect.

What makes his accusation hold ground, is the fact that the Metropolitan Police allegedly assaulted two top athletes.
This stop and search outrage involved Ricardo dos Santos, and Bianca Williams, which occurred in west London.

Bianca And Ricardo:
Bianca is a 26 year old European and Commonwealth relay gold medallist, and Dos Santos, 25, is a Portuguese 400m record holder.
The truth is, Bianca and Ricardo are incredible athletes.
They are both dedicated professionals, and they're a very respectable young couple with a child.
On the day in question they were unfairly and inhumanly treated by being pulled out of their car, and then handcuffed like criminals!

They were not only held against their will, but their baby son was left totally unguarded inside of their car!
Accusations were made by the police of them speeding away, failing to stop, and driving on the wrong side of the road.
After the police had stopped them they even stated that they could smell drugs?
They even went on to suggest searching their car, to look for firearms!

LINFORD CHRISTIE!

Linfords' Message.

Linfords Message: Linford Christie is an athletics coach.
He addressed a message on Twitter to Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick.
He alleged that the male driver had been "assaulted" by cops, and that the officers had taken "a mother away from her baby".

'INSTITUTIONALISED RACISM' He wrote: "Two of my athletes were stopped by the police today,
both international athletes, both parents of a three-month-old baby who was with them at the time.
They were both handcuffed outside of their home.

Can Cressida Dick or anyone, please explain to me what justification the Met Police officers had in assaulting the driver.
Taking a mother away from her baby all without one piece of PPE and then calling the sniffer dog unit to check the car over.
Was it the car that was suspicious or the black family in it which led to such a violent confrontation,

and finally an accusation of the car smelling of weed, but refusing to do a roadside drug test?
This is not the the first time this has happened. (second time in two months).
And I’m sure it won’t be the last but this type of abuse of power and institutionalised racism cannot be justified or normalised any longer".

Inventive Accusations: These totally bizarre and false accusations made by the police, amounted to eventually having to let them go on their way.
They should never have been stopped in the first place, but even if they'd felt it necessary, then they should have at least explained why..!
Police can be very inventive with their statements of which there are plenty of examples, should anyone require them?

Then it surely follows that if they'd actually committed even one of those road traffic violations, they would have been issued with the very minimum of a traffic ticket?
Which proves without a shadow of a doubt, that the accusations were simply invented as an excuse for their stop and search.
The police would do well to adhere towards their own given laws...

Racial Profiling:
Police officers are not permitted to stop a vehicle solely based on certain protected characteristics.
This includes race, age, or religious dress of the driver or passengers.
This is a law enshrined in the public sector 'equality duty', under section 149 of the Equality Act 2010.
There are many allegations of racism that are often committed by the Metropolitan police.

There is no longer any surprise whatsoever to any invasive actions carried out by police forces!

Make Better Example:
This kind of action can only lead to isolating fear for those victimised, (Weathering).
The police are required to show a higher example to the public of fair and unbiased treatment.
And by doing so, it would encourage a much stronger and equitable society?

UPDATE!

UPDATE:

14th August 2022, lessons never learnt!
Ricardo Dos Santos was yet again stopped by the police.
This time it was seven armed police officers, and their reason?
He may have been seen holding his mobile phone?

Ricardo didn't immediately stop, because he feared even more aggressive and bad treatment.
Therefore, he drove on until he could stop somewhere with better Street lighting to provide a safer environment.
This suggests the kind of fear that the police have instilled into people when they have been known to use racial profiling as a reason of persecution?
Any individual believing that they could become such a target would justifiably be afraid of what may result?

The first officer at his car can immediately be seen banging on the drivers window, and then drawing his baton in a somewhat threatening manner.
In the video you can clearly see the aggression displayed towards the victim.
Ricardo stated that he possesses further video evidence that he will submit to his lawyer.
The Metropolitan police have referred his complaint to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), for review.

Whilst it can be understood as to why he would drive on to find a safer place to stop, it is also ill advisable to do so.
This is based on the trend in America for officers to simply open fire on a victim, and very similar has also occurred right here in the UK.
This conclusion is offered as the exampled anger of this particular officer.

Ricardo had even exchanged his Mercedes for a family orientated Tesla to become less conspicuous to the police.
In a fair and equal society, no-one should ever even have to think this way, and they certainly shouldn't be living in fear of those that are simply paid to protect them.
Clearly the police officers had very little reason to stop him, based upon their own words, that they suspected he was using his phone?
Unfortunately for them, fact is the much bigger brother of fiction, and proof is the substantiation of evidence, which is required in all forms of prosecutions?

Perhaps the words, 'look, before you leap', and, 'judge not by what you see', but only by what is fair and clearly evident?
