INJUSTICE?
When services that we pay to protect us,
COMPLETELY FAIL!
Daunte Demetrius Wright, was just 20 years old.
Mistakenly killed by the Police?
Daunte Wright was a doting father.
False claims were made about his character!
Air Freshener:
Daunte Wright was shot and killed by a police officer.
The officer claimed that she had mistaken her gun for her Taser.
She had served as a police officer for twenty six years!
Police officers are trained to wear their gun on their dominant right, and the Taser is worn on the left.
This is reversed if your dominant side is left.
A gun would be drawn as traditionally worn, in an upward facing position, and the Taser would be drawn rear facing across the body.
The gun is traditional, but the Taser is slung face forward for easier access.
In comparison to a gun, a Tasers size, weight, and colour are all significant to their tactility.
The police stated that they had stopped him for an expired number plate, but a ridiculous Minnesota law was the true reason why they had arrested him.
The law there states that you can not hang an air freshener from your rear view mirror!
How many years have people in the UK hung air fresheners, ornaments, and even dice, from theirs?
Arrested for such a minor infraction, it's no wonder that he wanted to get away?
He was stopped not far from where George Floyd was killed by police officer Derek Chauvin.
Also nearby where Philando Castile, aged 32, that was fatally shot in 2016 by another Minneapolis police officer, after he was stopped for a broken taillight!
Later they stated that they had arrested him for an issued 'gross misdemeanour warrant'.
The warrant hadn't even been sent to him at that point in time, so this was clearly a made up excuse.
Glock 17 and Taser X26P.
Chalk and Cheese?
Atrocities:
Another young life is taken away.
And this leaves his two year old son without a father.
If I could publish all the atrocities performed against African, and Asian people it would fill a stadium ten times over.
It begs the question as to when will the police be taught that reaching for a gun or Taser is totally unnecessary.
If you watch the video, there were four officers, and Daunte was completely unarmed.
He wasn't even a large male, therefore even the use of a Taser would have been seen as an overreaction.
Daunte was known as a witty, popular, and charismatic kid with big dreams.
A picture paints a thousand words, look at the pictures of him with his baby son.
The love is right there in his eyes, and it speaks volumes about his friendly character.
His family are completely devastated, and the inevitable demonstrations are fully justified.
Gun holstered on the right.
Taser on the left, facing forwards.

COP CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER!

Manslaughter:
The police had stated that officer Kimberly Potter 48, will be charged with manslaughter.
But just how many times have we seen these police officers exonerated from all blame?
Potter is a 26 year veteran police officer, and yet she stated that she mistook her gun for a Taser?
The burning question is, will the charge against her be shown as an inkling of justice, but then simply snatched away again?
When Daunte was pulled over he immediately phoned his mother, and his mother had offered the officer the insurance details.
But then his mother overheard the police ordering him to get out of his vehicle.
The next thing she heard was some scuffling, and then an officer telling him to hang up his phone.
In the picture below you can clearly see the gun being pointed at Daunte, and then subsequently fired.
He managed to drive away, but must have lost consciousness at some point and his car struck another.
Daunte had been found unresponsive, and slumped over the steering wheel of his car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
When his mother had managed to phone back, it was Daunte's girlfriend that had answered the phone.
She pointed the phone on camera towards the car so that the mother could see her son lying unresponsively, and then informed her that he'd been shot.
The mother stated that it was the last time that she ever seen her son.
Officer Kimberly Potter opens fire on unarmed Daunte.
Video:
If you watch the video carefully,
you will see an officer on the other side of the vehicle, and at one point he looks as if he's smiling to himself.
This is believed to be when he spots that an air freshener is hanging from the rear view mirror.
Following which, they attempt to arrest and cuff Daunte.
One question is why were there so many officers for such a simple minor violation?
Even given the air freshener, couldn't they have just confiscated it, was it really worthy of an arrest?
The police later claimed that they were arresting him on an arrest warrant.
Daunte had never seen the so-called warrant, and would have had no idea of its existence.
He was more likely to have been innocent of the accusation anyway.
If the warrant had been true, then why did Daunte tell his mother he was being arrested for the air freshener?
Officer Kimberly Potter.

HE WAS A POPULAR STUDENT!

Daunte Wrights parents.
Popular Student:
Daunte had attended three schools.
He was voted as 'Class Clown' whilst a freshman at Edison High, in Minneapolis
Jonathan Mason was a youth development specialist and mentor at the school.
He stated that Daunte was a gregarious, popular student who had many friends.
When playing basketball, he was known for his great left hand shots, and many people looked up to him.
When Jonathan asked Daunte what he wanted to be in life, he told him, an NBA player, a fashion designer, and a business owner.
Jonathan told him that when he grew up he could be whatever he wanted to be.
Others had commented that Daunte as a child was just a really wonderful kid.
Another life destroyed by bad policies.
Racial Profiling:
Is this a case of a young mans life taken away yet again, by racism?
I'm pretty sure you know my thoughts?
Daunte had everything to live for, and he was a great father to his child.
Now all that's left is more pain and suffering to his family and his friends.
Minneapolis is located in the southern part of the Minnesota state.
It is the largest city in the state of Minnesota, and the 48th largest in the United States.
Minnesota itself is located in the western part of the north central part of the United States of America.
And is the 12th largest state in regards to area.
One last thing, Minnesota is also known as the friendliest state of the nation.
But the records show that in Minnesota Daunte was killed for an air freshener, Philando for a tail light, and George for a twenty dollar bill?
So how can such a great nation justify their treatment of fellow citizens?
If it wants to put the records straight, it will have to start retraining its officers in the equality of justice?
Demonstrations.
Obvious Differences:
A video has gone viral of a US Police Officer.
He is seen demonstrating the significant differences between a gun and a Taser.
Personally I think its self evident to most people, but a police officer confirming it is, undeniable.
The officer in a Tiktok video, appears in police uniform, demonstrating the aforementioned dominant side for a gun, and none dominant for a Taser.
He explains the huge weight difference, and as I stated earlier, the Taser is bright Yellow, and I doubt you could miss the larger, much heavier front barrel.
Officer Brian B stated that, 'If you’re in the heat of the moment and you do something like that, then you shouldn't be doing this job'.
He went on to say that 'nobody likes a bad cop any less than they like a good cop',
and 'an officer does not have to be quick in pulling out a gun or Taser thinking that everyone is a threat'.
Tributes. This image is kindly provided by Lorie Shaull.
RIP.
Officer Arrested:
Officer Potter had resigned, but has also been taken into custody.
It has been noted that her gun was holstered on the right hand side, and Taser on the left.
The Taser is Yellow with a black grip, and is set in a straight draw position, this would require her left hand to pull it from the holster.
Family attorney Ben Crump welcomed the news of Potter's arrest on Wednesday,
but added the words, 'a conviction could never bring back the 20-year-old father of one, since being executed by a cop'.
I would have to add, that nothing could bring Daunte back, but not convicting her would never serve justice either?
The attorney that also represented the family of George Floyd has doubled down on the doubts that Wright's death was an accident
He has called Dauntes killing as 'intentional, deliberate, and unlawful'.
And then he added that 'this was no accident'. This was 'intentional, deliberate, and an unlawful use of force. Driving whilst Black continues to result in a death sentence, stated Crump.
Crump has also compared Daunte Wright's death to the death of George Floyd, which took place on Memorial Day just a few miles from Sunday's shooting.
Besmirching His Name:
You may or may not be aware that Daunte Wrights character has come under a lot of scrutiny.
But you should also be aware, if you've visited my sites before that I study cases, and I study people.
He was only 20 years old, and maybe a little boisterous, but he had great potential to become someone very special.
I won't be drawn into arguments about the accusations of him having a gun at some time in his life.
We are talking about America here, and guns are ten a penny, so even if he did possess one, he most certainly never used it.
His character was full of fun, a guy with a great sense of humour.
A loving father at the age of 20, is something to admire.
Therefore it's fully understandable that he was afraid of the police, because it goes with the territory.
Just consider the manner of death that others have suffered there, and it completely makes sense.
Daunte Wright had a good future ahead of him, and it was taken away by what appears as pure racism?
